We have been playing with this mod in a R32 for some time (months) without success while we have been trying to understand the problem.

With a R32 the GTR drive shaft is different to a GTS-T and GTS and has a oil seal pressed into the upright where the GTS-T and GTS simply run a thing that looks like two disks in the same place as where the oil seal fits into the upright.

We are now heading down the path of having the GTR upright machined to replicate the GTS-T one and hope that solves the issue.

To answer the question accuratly. Yes.

Each and every art of both the rear ends is different, but most parts are compatible.

The shafts, uprights and hubs are different.

You use GTR uprights, and use your stock gtst hubs and axles, as the axles suit whatever hub you use.

The lower control arm is the same, but you need this little spacer thing, and this may be hard to find, its usually easier to buy a pair of GTR lower control arms.

The alloy hub has a bigger ball joint hole, so you NEED this spacer bit.

Obviously you need GTR coilovers.

    • I thought about ditching it but I was worried my bonnet would sound like a 90's Swift GTi sub-filled boot.
    • Have you found that you have to tighten your alternator belt once in a while? Mine has started to squeal again after the mechanic tightened it roughly a year ago and the engine starts up slow if I don't start it every day (think the starter motor is going out). It used to be if I don't drive it once a week I'd get a quick squeal on the belt but now it's every day or every other day. I might make a post of the start up sound.
    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
    • Well now we all see it! I did the same. Then cut it out. Then melted half of it. Then discarded it entirely. So... you're in good company.
    • I just replaced the god awful, sagging, crunchy bonnet insulation. It's something nobody but I see but it's been at me for a while.
