Ok so basically one of my cradle bushes has been leaking oil, and the car seems to feel really sloppy in the arse end, especially around uneven surfaces on corners. Is it ok to just get solid bushes fitted (and adjustable camber arms), or am I going the wrong way about this? I don't care about ride quality, I just want maximum handling improvement.

Yeah I was looking into the solid metal ones - a mate did this on his A31 and said it improved handling noticeably. It's also kind of important, since the bush(s) seem to be absolutely stuffed now (ie car feels sloppy in the rear all the time, getting axle tramp and a feeling of a loss of control when cornering too hard etc)

hows that.i had same problem in my a31.when i came on boost it felt like it was twisting the chassis.so i droped the sub frame out and sure enuff ithe rubbrs wer torn.i bort sum alloy locking washes NOT pinapples,chucked it back in and was all gravey.my a31 hd 383.3rwhp and it stoped the twist and was also running a locked diff.

so i would run wih the locking washes only take 30min to slip in as you only have to undo the subframe bolts enuf to slip them in

Ok so I ended up getting some alloy ones on Ebay, but it turns out that they are the ones which require dropping the subframe to put on rather than the 'slip on' type. The seller claims that they are a better long term solution than the slip on ones, but I'd thought they were all the same thing :S

just cut a section out the size of the bolt... it only needs to happen on the top rings and it doesnt not affect the effect.. i have done this on both my r33 and r32 and found the handling to be noticably better and the ride quality hardly changed. that is with solid alloy lock rings... not urethane pineapples.

Well as it turns out, I got the car looked over when I got new tyres, and it turns out that all the rear bushes are stuffed as well as some of the steering components ;) So the rear subframe will be removed anyway lol.

Do any of you suspension guru's know where the best prices on bushes are? I was thinking whiteline or something like that. Kind of annoying since I'd just gotten all the stuff to do the 100k service and now find out that half the suspension is stuffed too!

Well as it turns out, I got the car looked over when I got new tyres, and it turns out that all the rear bushes are stuffed as well as some of the steering components :D So the rear subframe will be removed anyway lol.

I ended up getting a set of KTS Alloy Cradle Lock Collars since the guy I was dealing with on Ebay stuffed me around, one other thing, do superpro or whiteline etc sell complete rear end bush kits for Skylines? I've seen them for Falcondores, but not for imports :D otherwise I'm going to have to find the list and order it all piecemeal.

so I got a mate to attempt to put in the bushes on the weekend. However, whilst the backs went in no worries, there are bolts at the front which are rusted tight and are inaccessible by WD-40, do any of you boffins have any ideas on how to undo them? We didnt want to yank too hard on the breaker bar for fear of snapping the heads off the bolts and making it worse :P
