you can drive for a hour without seeing a car

and the best roads! very similar to Tassie

from franz josef to wanaka was the best drive of the trip... and wanaka to queenstown... and queenstown back up to christchurch... the poor little pulsar hire car was an absolute trooper... cooked the brakes serveral times... spent more time hooking round corners on the tyre sidewalls than on the tread.. ahhh... good memories!!
