Sunroof Seal Repair

Hey guys,

The sunroof seal on my 32 pretty much blew out in the wind yesterday, which means that if it rains now... my interior will be pretty wet.

So, obviously I need to get a new one, as well as the harder fibrey/wooden thing that holds the seal into place. Is this something that can be custom made cheaply and installed by someone, or do I need to order this parts from Nissan?

If I order them from Nissan is it possible to install it myself?

Any help is much appreciated guys, I need to get this fixed ASAP obviously so I'm kind of desperate!

well where ment to have have pretty good weather mon-wed, gives you a few days.

might be best ring around the wreckers, their open sat.

or even google some place that installs sunroofs. sure they could whip something up.

Nissan won't sell this damn seal - Which is annoying. They said I'd have to buy the whole sunroof, but they couldn't get it... Went to a few sunroof place's, best option was to:

I can get the weatherstrip from an R33 then have the seal made up, the thing that I'm trying to work out now is, is the glass the same size in an R33?

They have similar part numbers..

ok the glass for a 32 is $1k - problem being NISSAN no longer make it!!

I have the same issue as most - R32 with dry rotted seals.

it was mentioned that you could buy the 33 seals. 33 glass is BIGGER than the 32. it is longer and deeper. (been there already was not aware you could buy the seal.)

how did you fix this. I'm in the process of stripping and cleaning my roof now.

yesterday i opened my sunroof to let the wind blow thru my locks and a wiperblade style seal fell out and landed on my i crapped my sefl and i have no idea where it goes in my sunroof at all.

i also noticed that there is about a mil gap between roof metal and sunroof seal on the passengers side but if i push up on my sunroof it moves into a nice posistion might be loose or somthoing can i fix that?
