If you have 235s on your rims now, then my impression is that they fit reasonably well. A 235/45R17 will be a good replacement.

Good answer.

Btw does it matter if i get a bigger tyre like 245/45 instead of 235/35... Like does it have more grip or its just for show!!!

Did you not read the bit about 235/45/17 being one of the cheapest tyre sizes as most places carry them in bulk ;) Also less sidewall flex than a 245. Now, go and take a wheel off, and have a look for a label on the inside, if there isn't one, bust out the tape measure. :)

tirerack.com the American tyre site has a "specs" on many tyres telling you the rim size they will fit on. 235/45/17 should be fine, but you can go wider if you want to....

Hey guys i finally managed to find out the width of my 17inch rim is 8.5 inch wide... So wats the max width i can go for a tyre?

wouldnt go bigger than a 245/45, could go a 255/45 if u were just looking to get as much launch grip as possible. personally id go a good quality 235/45 due to how common and cheap they are.

Well.. Finally i have gained a lot of knowledge about tyres and after looking at the prices i will indeed be going for a 235/45/17... They are the most reasonably priced..

Thnx guyz for all the help!!
