I'm not up to speed on what's required, so the JJR hubs fully replace the existing hubs, track doesn't change etc?

$550 for the kit isn't cheap, the wheels would have to be crazy cheap to compensate, could just as easily spend couple hundred more on the 4 stud rims than I planned and still be ahead and no stuffing with rotors... hmmm

But this opens up the wheel market, one set of rims doesnt... http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=269&page=1

Stay away from the JJR hubs! They break! I wouldnt touch them with a 10ft pole...and you want to run semis on them! NO WAY!!

It depends how picky you want to be with rims...there are plenty of 4 stud rims around in decent widths and offsets. GMAX, Koya etc etc.

IMO its easier to go 5 stud and then throw on some GTR offset rims ie 32,3 GTR wheels which are plentiful.

You need:

S14,5 front hubs and knuckles

S14,5,R33 LCAs, OR retain your S13 LCA and fit a S14,5 or R33 ball joint

S14,5,R32,3 rear hub assemblies with handbrake cables, upgrade to drum handbrake while youre at it too, use R32,3 rear discs

Its a fair list but all the parts can be had for way less than 800 if youre cunning about it.

Its all boltup and you can do it yourself, the only thing you need to mod are the coilovers.

Then while youre at it throw in a complete R33 brake system for insane braking power.

Point taken.... some of the Koya rims IE drift tek are multi stud, so would suit 4/5 stud pre/post conversion... So new set of drift teks would be similar money as second hand jap rims without the risk of buying damaged and repaired wheels...

there is a very nice set of 17x9.5s front and 18x10.5 rears RP-F1s on yahoo auctions

GTR offset +15 or +19 can't remember

only for an insane low price of 80k yean

i wish i had the money, but i'm set on buying a set of mesh wheels :D

I was talking about suitable offsets etc in another thread and Nisskid said to steer clear of the Koya's. I know a new set can be had for around the 1300 odd dollar mark. the offsets are super awesome though, +34 in the 8" wide if I recall. Would be a touch less inner clearance but if it needed a spacer at the front it would be a tiny one I think.. Hard to tell clearance to the shock when the car is off the ground, even when jacking the wheel back up.

Need a pit!

9.5+12 i think... i personally wouldn't run them...

yeah they are known to buckle over ripple strips, so not ideal track wheels.

spend some money and get the good quality stuff from a well known brand

someone is selling some Enkeis in the for sale section 8s front 9s rear if i remember correctly

Don't have the time or extra money, I need rims on the car before the 21st of September

Is it a done thing and SAFE to get 5 stud rims drilled?

I know a guy who has got Veilside Andrew Evolutions 5 Stud wheels and it has been Re-Drilled as a 4 Stud on his 180SX.

He drives the car around with them on.

He took it to Easternates this year and they seem fine, not sure if he did a wheel change and used other wheels tho...

You best check with your mechanic and local Wheel and Tire places.

those don't look too bad, 1600 delivered isn't awesome though

BUT, just found out they're made in the Philippines
