Hah, I will if these Volks don't come through, I've posted in the thread and PM'd him, no response.

The ONLY downside to those sexy VX's is that they look very pretty and I'd hate to scrape them up, which I will definitely do because I can't drive for beanz :P

I've already told Jin that those wheels are second on my list!

i'm going 5 stud, so there is more choice.

GTR offset is from +12 to +24 depending on width of the rim.

i'm after something 9" or 9.5" wide. Been all over yahoo auctions lately trying to find some. Almost bought some old skool 17x9 ADVAN Tri-spokes in GTR offset but someone out bid me.

I've missed out an a few wheels on here as well, coz i always see them too late :P

Lol, I'm also after rims, same offset, 9 / 9.5 or 10 wide, 9.5 is my preferred choice.

Also on yahoo auctions, nearly bidded on the Advan Tri-spokes.

What are you after?

I'm bargain hunting <1K if possible for 17 *9 lightweight rims, I don't care much about style, don't mind the rim been badly scratched, all I care is that its balanced and not cracked :P

Does anyone know if you can repair a rim if its not balanced? There are no cracks and the rims are cheap but the seller says its not balanced...they're really nice rims otherwise... EDIT: 1 of the 4 rims is not balanced

You are spoiled for choice then you bastard :P

Definitely post pics when u hook something up.

You going to Nov DECA?

Why won't these people get back to me... is it that hard to reply to a PM and let me give you money...

Ah yeah i'll definitely be at deca again if Exams don't screw it up.

Enkei RP-F1s for $1.7k are so tempting, but trying to keep it budget as well

I'm after some lightweight wheels 17x9, 9.5 in GTR offset, i realized keeping it under $1k is very hard, so i raised my budget to a bit over $1k.

Balancing rims is very easy btw. its just those weights you see stuck on the inside of the wheel.

They chuck ur wheel on the balancing machine, spin her up, and then a red spot on the dial shows where the imbalance is, they get the special wheel balancing tape and stick the weights on the inside of the barrel and spin again until the imbalance is within tolerance

Try to get a quote from a local workshop 1st.

I drove down to melb last weekend to buy those exact rims. They were advertised as 8" all round but are only 7" on the front ()ad has since been fixed). That's too narrow up front so I drove 6hrs for nothing...

Thanks for the find though, I did intend on buying those.

Looks like I'm buying the Volks.

f**k that, add me on MSN, in future if its inner suburbs or out east I will check the width and condition of the rims for you for the cost of fuel(5-10bux from my place to most inner/east/SE areas) No point you driving 6hrs for nothing, and I am sure there is someone out west(maybe Mo/tubz) who could do the same. Then you just netbank the guy the deposit if they pass inspection and you come and get them.

if i knew earlier i could've told you those rims were 7s front 8s rear.

I was going to buy then when they were 1st up for sale like 2 months ago, the guy said they had 215 and 235s tires.

he was said they may be 8 front and 8.5 rear, but i asked if there tires had any stretch and he said no.

i have run 215s on 7s and 215s on 8s, and 215s on 8s do show visible stretch.

so i obviously didn't get them

[email protected] <-- is my msn :) Feel like going to check out these Volks in Doncaster? lol he said they are sound structurally though and he seems genuine as I already told him I would be pissed off if I drove down and they were shit. Scratches and marks I don't mind though, they are track rims after all.

I'm also happy to inspect things/take pics etc for people up here also.

Hahah, damn, would have been great to know that :D

If anyone else is hunting there are Enkei RP-F1s in 9/9.5/10 for <$1700, group buy anyone? lol

Cheap for new rims, I'll bargain hunt a little longer and if I get bored I'll buy them, the 10" is 7.7kg / rim!

Let me know if you decide to buy them,

my tax return should be here in a couple of weeks, so i should have the required budget then.

This was advertised on the Supraforums.

http://www.ozzycarsales.com.au/wheels/index.htm

It just a website where people can sell their 2nd hand wheels, it's new so there aren't many up yet, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.

Group buying will make no difference, I confirmed with Jesse, I'll keep hunting on yahoo auctions but all the good rims do go for serious $$$ :)

$1700 for brand new RP-F1s is a real deal,

i see second hand RP-F1s selling for more when you + shipping.

how much would Jesse be able to get TE37s for? is he able to get a good deal like RP-F1s?

I see second hand in Aus selling for more than Jesse Streeter's prices!

Its not 1700 its less than $1700 :P

I have not asked him about TE37's, he gets good prices on everything but I feel bad about asking him so many questions.

I love these SE37's but they are going to go above $1500 second hand so I might as well buy new...
