Auto trans queires ?

Yeh jus wonderin how often should u get your automatic transmisson serviced ???

Its for a 93 R33 Nissan Skyline GTSt, if anyone has had theirs serviced (for their skyline) how much was it and where in melb (pref south east subs) also wonderin about costs for auto trans oil coolers how much includin fittin ?????

I have been told many different service intervals, but most of the trans service places I have talked to in the past have recomended once a year or every 20,000 km to keep it in good condition.

r33 have a stock oil cooler so fitting a larger one is a easy job .As all the hoses are already there.

Any gearbox, be manual or auto loves the feel of fresh oil.... I know my mates auto in his commodore felt like a new box after he did the change @ 90000kms

mate, for auto 100,000k's is good enough.

if you want to change the fluid only not the filter and such,

40,000k's is more than enough too.

auto should already have a cooler. look in front of the radiator.

thats what i thought ... 100000k's ... but question is .. what oil?? does redline make something similar?

Nissan Matic D is recommended. Closest I've seen is Castrol Transmax Z. $60 for 4L

Remember that our auto's are the same as what is used in the 300ZX and the Pathfinders... Can be useful when searching for info / specs...
