Central Locking Malfunction

Hey, just bought myself a 1993 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS. It has a remote central locking system with alarm. I recently tried unlocking the car with remote as usual, the drivers side door opens like normal but the passenger side door seems to be locked shut. It makes a clicking noise like its trying to open but remains locked. Tried opening with remote, with keys and while holding the door handle open. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Just to clarify here, the door does still unlock/lock when using the key?

Sounds to me as if the door motor is shagged.but being a factory one in there still id be soprised if it is.i have never seen one die.

Pull your door trim off and inspect all the linkages and make sure its all good.manual lock and unlock it so you can see how its soposed to work.

No, it doesn't unlock when using the key either. Yeah I guess i'll take the trim off and have a look whats going on underneath.

Sounds like the lock mechanisim is stuffed or the rod going to it.

Once you have the door trim off check that and the rods.

Hey im having the same problem with my 33. Was wondering how u got the trim off without being able to open the door? have u got it fixed yet?
