Turbo Scraping/hiss Sound

Hey, my mechanic recently installed a clutch for me nd needed to take off my exhaust and now i got the car back with my turbo scraping/hiss whenever the revs are over 2000 (when the turbo kicks in) .. i'm 100% sure its from the turbo.. The turbo runs perfectly fine.. i could drive at high revs no problems but i absolutely hate the sound.. my mechanic recommends getting a new exhaust cos apparantly mines smashed.. he said we'll work from there as his not certain what it is..

anyone know what it is and how much it costs to fix?

That sounds a little dicey. IS it coming from the hot side or cold side of the turbo?

Exhaust leak from the exhaust manifold to turbo maybe? What point was the exhaust removed from?

Make sure all the bolts/nuts are there and tight.. might need to replace gaskets.

its definately my exhaust... do you guys think replacing my catback system will fix it? onyl the catback was removed.. (however i intend to upgrade to a turboback exhaust) Only thing i think it is is that my Exhaust is leaking..can anyone confirmt his. thx

a gasket leak near the turbo can make a hissing noise. get him to replace the gasket at whatever point he removed the exhaust
