Today when I was driving the piece of plastic that covers the front wheel arch up to the bumper dislodged and started scraping along the road and my tyre, The holes in it where it bolts to the bumper have been scraped off beyond repair so I have cut alot of it off so my car is driveable again. I would like to know if this part is needed to cover or protect anything or will I not need to bother about getting a new one? If so how much do they cost to replace?

The splash guards help with holding back an accumulation of crap from building up in the fender area.

Over here in WA they are an ADR requirement - Don't ask me why, even my inspector couldn't tell me the logic behind it.

To replace one should cost you SFA from someone wrecking a 33.
