alot of different factors, looks of your photo you are about to straighten up but still got lock, on power, Matt is just gone into a turn with more speed, maybe a bit under brakes with ALOT of weight transfer!

what else have you done with yours doof? looks good!

and matt, hurry up and buy some suspension mods

Chubbeh, seeing there is a haze of smoke behind one of my tyres in that photo, I guesstimate that in that photo I am either hard on the throttle or handbrake. The way my car isn't lurching forward, I'm going to assume throttle :(

I'll buy suspension mods when I am closer to the suspension's limit :/

Arrrgghh she roll to the right yaaarr!!

That's interesting. Shows the tyres are working fairly well.

All PM's answered.

The R34's seem to suffer from Boatyitis as well...

:/

That's with Bilstein shocks, kings springs and adjustable sway bars. New tyres probably helped, these Federals are the best grip you can get for the money no doubt.

Umm, how much closer do you want to get? Just because you aren't touching bits other than the tyres to the ground yet... My R34 used to drag bits and bottom out with stock suspension and reasonable tyres.

thats it, I think your at the limit already Matt!

now upgrade!! lol

Wow I'm awesome!

I read what you posted and I thought as follows

"LULZ I is gonna go to the Whiteline website, add some suspension stuff and post a screen shot showing me hesitating at buying stuff lolololololol"

I click a button without looking too closely...

Screen now says this

So Chubbs, I hope your happy with yourself

BTW, I was going to buy this stuff anyways... the only thing stopping me... was... cbf :/

Didnt know how much body roll i really had. Some of you might recognize this car as "NIC" another SAU member has the exact same color and wheels as i do but i can pretty much garantee that this is not "Nic's" former ride. I was lucky enough to get factory series 3 silver. So many people came up to me and said "ahh Nics old car". From what i gathered he must have had one hell of a ride that impressed alot of people. Anyone know what happened to it?

you're welcome, and it's "PJ" by the way my name is phil :):D

that pic you took of mine must've been the run I dragged a cone halfway around the course :D

great to meet you

Yep you won overall by 0.25s ;), oh wells, if only I didn't lock up on my last go on course 1 and wedged the stop box cone in my front bar, would have done a 26.09 I think (its 3 seconds for a cone right?), practice makes perfect, next time =D
=P just imagine how quick you'd be if you drove my MXfun though.... =P

I just checked the times I did in the Chaser on youtube, and I would of got a 26.1 on the fast course and a 8.7 in the go to whoa. Should of borrowed the Chaser for the whole day :)

I thinked Duncun laughed at me in the morning cause of the semi's not really working, and then I delaminated them by the afternoon. Should of just used street tyres me thinks :D

Thats why I didnt turn up, give you a chance.

(no, I was working :( )

So you brought in a Ringer :D

hahhahaha. who can spot my rims in the background? :D

Who CAN'T spot your rims, Sammeh? The place suddenly went dark right after you left! :)

    • me too wasnt real happy and cost me a penny or 2 to replace
    • But there's the archetype for the name plate! Here's my view on that stupid TÜV ruleset. Buy a brand name aftermarket piece of equipment. In this case, the Mines front pipe we're talking about. Get it TÜV certified on the car. Damage the underside of it, say on a speed bump. Cut out the damaged section, replace with fresh metal. (For the sake of the argument only), continue doing that to the whole pipe until it is all gone, replaced with new metal. Is this grandfather's axe still the same front pipe? The design hasn't changed (much). The pipe walls are in the same places. The flanges are in the same places. It is functionally identical. How does this differ from a pipe that is ever so slightly different in fabrication (ie the number of welds in it, a few mm here and there in terms of where the pipes run, are joined, etc)? Anyone with 0.5% of a brain can see that there is absolutely no way that the performance (power, environmental aspects, noise, etc etc) of it can be any different than the genuine Mines pipe. Maybe even Mines made 2 versions of this design, with the same differences. How would anyone (say a TÜV inspector) ever be able to differentiate between them? And yet, they are so bloody anally retentive about this stuff. Mad. How upset would they be if you had the wrong spring washers on the flanges?

    • After a fairly extensive search using Japanese terms and checking Minkara etc, I couldn't find anything even close to your front pipe in the photos. I'm no expert but the two pipes merge really close to the flange connected to the catalytic converter which is rather unique from what I've seen, which makes me think it's more than likely a custom front pipe. The welds and 'more pipe sections than usual for a brand name pipe' makes it seem like a custom one.  Here's some photos of an old Mine's front pipe. You can see that it's just 4 pipe sections as opposed to 6, and arguably looks more like a 'production' front pipe:
