Can anyone from Newcastle recommend a quality GTR specialist mechanic / tuner / engine builder in Newcastle? I have a friend who needs some work done on his GTR and he's new to the game so trying to help out.

Only go to a registered quality workshop bud, or you will regret it in the long run. NO BACK YARDERS.

Here is a horra story for you. I took my gtr to my regular mechanic to change a timing belt and a oil seal behind it and it took 3 weeks to do. while it was there he managed to put a hole in the radiator, strip the sump plug, and put a ding in the front radiator support from when he was using a manual impact wrench and missed lol. So even your own mechanic can stuff up. I look after 6 cars and now he wont see any of em and ripped off all his stickers he puts on. have a nice day.

yeah he's the only person id let touch my car in Newy...Newcastle has nothing in the way of reputable mechanics/engine builders. Thats the reason i do all my own stuff...im very fussy. No tuner's here either, i fly Mark down from Brisbane when i need him.
