the other day my speedo just died in the arse, i take off and it stays at 0 then when i apparently am doing 60 it just zooks up to 60 then moves up to 120 and just stays there, is there any ideas on what i can do to fix this problem

Probably a problem with the speedo sender unit, but first of all I'd remove the instrument cluster, make sure all the contacts on the back are clean, before trying to source a new sender.

First question should have been, what car?

If it's a 32 then it sounds like the needle has snapped off the end of the cable (the end that goes into the speedo).

did u find out what the problem was? i have the same problem and also have the hicas light on!

no mate, never solved the problem, after having this problem i had a few others so i havent driven my car in about 3months while its being fixed, the thing i narrowed it down to was the speedo sensor in the gearbox, try replacing it

the sender on the box i sold u works perfect, should solve your problem
