still got just over a month and a half Allan, hope all goes well!

Cheers So do I.

i hope i can make it but put it this way motor needs to be installed ecu + wiring then

have to run-in the gearbox , diff , clutch , motor, im thinking positive about making it there.

i reckon i can clock 5000k's in less than a month if i had too :P but if the car is ready and i am still in the run in stage/tune ill only be using half of its power

i haven't had my car for 10 months now so getting a bit inpatient good opportunity to see if any gremlins/bugg's seem to appear when i log all the info when driving.

if any one hasnt used ebc red stuff you should very good pads had been testing em great pads with the best brake fluid motul dot6 slotted/vented rotors braided lines front and rear

last year sometime going down main south road to second valley a roo jumped in front of me maybe about 10 to 12 mtrs away i was able to slam the brake pedal and stop in

time ive never pulled up so hard in my life scary moment but the point is they never faided even afta passing second valley that real winding bit makes ur brakes so hot give em a go

sorry about the story i am bored.

Your looking at quality here people good stuff chad i would prefer braided lines tho depends where you run the lines i guess.

Think i paid about $600 for my kit, no thermo though. Give Todd a call at Outlaws in the city he knows his shit about imports.

Changing oil filters is now a walk in the park :P

Thanks man :P I was after a quality cooler that would flow well. 26's with 300+kw at the track have a pretty bad rep with oil problems so I thought that I should spend the money on a good cooler. I just wrap extra rubber around any part of the hose that makes contact with metal to prevent the hose wearing through.

Boostworx installed my oil cooler for me (custom job), I provided a 2nd hand R34 drivers side GT-T kit I got pretty cheap (all earl's fittings and hose, 19row earls core and earl's filter relocator), a inline B&M thermostat and some extra speedflow fittings + hose for the thermostat. Shaun ordered some extra -10 braided hose and speedflow fittings (much cheaper than I could get them from Outlaw Speedshop) to facilitate running it from the passenger side (can't run on the drivers side because of the stock twin bov's).

If I had to do this again, I would choose the core I wanted, and relocator (with or without thermo instead is a better choice than using a inline thermostat because of the need for expensive speedflow bits to suit the inline jobbie), and just leave it up to Shaun to work out which fittings and how much hose he needs to mount it wherever, should work out alot cheaper and of higher quality than a jap kit (some of the higher tier kits just use Earl's bits anyway).

since i spent most of the August 25 trackday standing in the rain watching many of the guys drive around the track, i'd like to go out this time as a bit of a warmup before the Nov 23 trackday (Luke and i will launch that thread soon) with my V35 (or other car).

so please add me to the list if there's a spot available. i can pay now if needed.

    • Sounds good Hmm suppose the main thing is, how much do you care about this car? The filler doesn't make for a very good water barrier lol. If there was a tiny little bit of rust forming now, that in 3 to 5 years time becomes obvious under the paint (starts to bubble up), would it bother you?
    • I already have the ability to datalog the voltage... what I can't do is correlate it to what the gauge is showing when I'm looking at the data at a later date. Or something like this. Except getting the oil to 125C+ involves me going 200+kmh at the track so you can imagine this is a little tricky unless I do something like note what the voltage is when I am at the top of 5th gear so I have a point to reference on. Drove car today. O2 still reading richer because hopefully not a leak instead of massive restriction I've introduced. Car really doesn't sound like a LS. It's quite strange. Pulled a bit of fuel out up top. This does potentially explain why my spark plugs looked like the car was running pretty over-rich. If I was tuning it to a ~12.7 which in reality was far richer than that in the past. It will be handy to have the dyno WB to compare my WB to to compare notes that's for sure. At this point I'm happy to just sit in the passenger seat and tune the thing given I've got about 7 million hours on the platform lol.
    • Yeah I understand you have to pay for an updated map or subscription service or something. But I can't even find a current map for Australia. My map is dated 2017, but didn't this car version still sell in Australia until 2021?   Also, just as an aside, the navigation system warns you of traffic incidences ahead.....why would they include that on a map they knew is not receiving live information. I am forever going to be warned of an incident that probably existed for 30 minutes 8 years ago.
