Correct. My brother made a workshop with a hoist which i like to use alot, and help mates out with cars to. Theres a small fee for using it if need be.

location is very discreet and not known by many ppl and it plans on staying that way.

Craig and Jesus built a niece S15 there.

Say G'Day to Craig for me, he came over to Tassie to watch it's maiden Drift.

how will people know how fast or slow they are in relation to others?

i'm assuming that i'm still on the list for this. how do we organise a garage for the day? i am planning to bring up a support car, some fold up chairs, my fuel can, trolley jack, stands, and an esky. i'll be happy to pay $10-20 for access to a garage / share.

just let clem know on the day how many sheds and pay on the day..

and i know im gonna wanna go in the slower group as its my first time and i dont wanna hold anyone up..

but we will c on the day..

anh my rolla is stripped so ill fit as much as i can in the car  hopefully strap the bbq on the trailer infront of the rolla if there is room!

Def have a fast and slow group. Maybe have all the noobs go out in one group. theirs going to be a few quick cars out their so maybe have them in their own group, 2 or 3 groups would be good, cos it would be aids if their was an accident. just work it out on the day.

i guess we also need to be clear as to what type of day this will be - a practice day as opposed to 'setting the world on fire time attack record breaking day' ?

i'm just there to get some practice and sort out some suspension settings...

I'm just going out for shits 'n giggles and to not crash. Are the laps actually going to be timed?

I nominate my car for the slowest group - at 62kW it is less than my GTR idles at (well almost).

i'm taking my MyChron lap timer so people are welcome to use the IR beacon that i'll set up on pit straight if they have the matching receiver in their car.

i may have a spare MyChron Light timing set with me on the day - it's for sale currently on behalf of a friend ($350 i think).

    • For something like this, I'd skip just going for the cheapest, I'd find the place with the best experiences people have had, especially for restoration work. Like everything, there is upholsterers, and then there is upholsterers. Some really great upholsterers for automotive restos won't even appear to have an online presence.   My guide would be find some of the old school classic cars that have been fully restored and are immaculate, and ask the people who own them who did the work on their seats
    • Might be tricky matching the seat trim material  If your got the funds you "may" want to get the rear re-trimed as well to match the front
    • How much is it to re-uploster?  Well that's a "how longs a piece of string?" question !  And I answer thusly: "twice half its length! " . . . . . .  Seriously you'll have to chase multiple quotes for that one from different uphlostrerereres !  Ask around, in your area and on the forums, chase reviews and most of all see the finished product in person cause photoshop is a wonderful thing !
    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
