CA fuel pump powering a RB25T?

Reason I ask is I have an RB25 180sx that has retained the original ca fuel pump. Sometimes there is a fuel cut happening (instant loss of power at high rpm) while obviously indicitive of a fuel starvation issue I hoping someone could shed some light if I should replace it immediatley or it can be moded or something added to fix the problem. Or if it is adequest and something else is goofy.

Change it straight away, regardless if this is the only problem. Put at least a Bosch 910 fuel pump in there , only $200, and will support over 400rwhp.

or an alternative is the GTR pump, which is a direct fit ( so no mucking around ) and similar price. But the advantage with the bosch is that it will be a new pump vs a 2nd hand one. Just giving you more options.
