Hi guys,

11r_mbl1.jpg

The Work Emotion 11R is a brand new rim fresh off the boat from Japan - I was one of the first to get a set and they arrived last week.

The only problem was I bought them for an Evo 8, and a test fit found them being quite a long way outside the guards, to the point that some major guard work was gonna be needed, and more stuffing around with the suspension settings. In the end, I put them back in the box and have decided to sell them and go for something less extreme.

They are still in their boxes, just as they arrived from Japan. I bought them for $2290 from the great guys at JDM Concept, and I'm prepared to offload them for $2000. That's NOT or near offer, so no low-balling or you'll get a short sharp response from me.

18x9.5 +20 is a perfect fit for a R32 GT-R and will also work on R33 or R34 GT-Rs. If you've got a GT-t and want to roll the dice, be my guest lol

Damn you I would love those for my Stagea, but alas I am taking the missus O/S on holiday tomorrow and I have no spare money :(

They would look great on a White R32. (Better on a White Stagea though)

good luck with the sale

Run a 235/40/18 and a 'relatively' aggressive wheel alignment and they will fit with just rolled guards. Always looks worse firstly, when the car is off the ground as the rims get positive camber, and secondly without some mildly stretch tyres.

Either way, very good price- good luck with the sale.

I know it would probably work with a bit of stuffing around with suspension settings, but I'm also running TEIN EDFC so there's a limit to what I can do with it. I really just need the Evo on the road at the moment, as my only other alternative is driving a Ford Territory lol

    • They've had some weird failures on their brake actuators. One of them was because they added some kind of lubricant to the factory fill brake fluid that aftermarket brake fluid didn't have so it would affect the seals. Another was just mysterious, probably internal corrosion or something eating away at Prius brake actuators. Parts alone for those are a few thousand USD so not a cheap fix.

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
    • That's not very Toyota of the Toyota!
    • Bringing an old thread back to life Looking to put some new front shocks in the r33Gtst and the KYB still look ok for a road car. Unless there are any other options aroind that price $200 a shock?  I’d like to replace the strut tops also, is this the correct KYB no. For the strut top, KSM7124?  https://www.sparesbox.com.au/products/kyb-strut-top-mount-ksm7124?srsltid=AfmBOoq-HDru8wSlLnQrhU9gCw_uYdKg8gUQzONY-EQOdnI5iXOWEUjY 341287 appears to be the front KYB shocks part no.  thanks all
