Restoring Side Skirts To Factory Colour

My V35 skirtings (sides, rear and front) have faded over time and with exposure to the elements. Apart from buying new skirts, anybody had them restored or know the best way to go about it?

while its still on the painting topic, anyone know how much it would cost to paint the whole car?

From memory, it was around $200 for the front, sides and rears to be painted.

to have an entire car done properly, including door jambs and a proper preparation, youre looking at 4-5k. probably more, and im sure you could get less.

anyone can stick a coat of paint on a car, but its all preparation

I wouldn't worry about painting the whole car unless absolutely neccessary. Spend around $400 and get a pro detailer to do some paint correction and full detail to bring your paint back to new car condition will be more worth it.

Where did you get yours done? $200 isn't bad depending on how good a job they did.

Have you got a before and after pic? Not sure if you tried to attach one in your post but it's not displaying on my computer.

go to supercheap auto and buy a bottle of "mothers" back to black. it will mask oxidisation and remove any polish/wax residue.

look for a little red bottle.

And I can see the pics fine on my laptop at home too.. how bizarre.

I think I'd like to keep mine in their original colour so I might try that stuff from super cheap auto. Thanks for the tips guys.
