Hey,

just wondering, i've got stock 18" tyres on my 350 coupe,

what kind of tyre pressures should i be using...

currently i think the guy had it pumped to 45psi XD.... kinda rocky ride...

but i've heard underinflated tyres hurts the MPG and handling?

so any suggestions? or what do you use?

also using Nitrogen any effects?

Edit: Oops... there is another topic on this now...

Mod can you move mine in to Esy's Post

45psi IMO is overkill. 38 front and 36 rear is the norm. Nitrogen is probably more wank factor than anything. It apparently does not expand or contract as much due to heat.

lol omg... haha i'll go reduce it tonight haha

the ride might be a bit softer then

I would be running 38 to 40 but I like a firm ride and minimal flex on my 40 profile 18's.

As for Nitrogen it does feel different... well I can feel it.

The reasons behind it is that it is not flammable and it does not expand or contract in temperature variations. So the pressure remains the same.

wow 45 is pretty hard! i just pumped it up to 40 about 700kms ago, it's giving me just under 12l/100km which is a big improvement in mpg from before. the ride is harsh which i don't mind but unfortunately the car's rattling a lot more which is driving me nuts. oh i've got the stock 18s as well.

soooo need to drop that pressure.... got a bit tail happy today in the wet.... VDC had to kick in twice XD...

so i guess 38-40 is a good figure
