I just don't know so much about the rb26dett engines. I previouslly had sr20det.

I'm guessing going to need injectors, fuel pump, computer, intercooler, dump and front pipes (already has decat catback).

Obviously turbo, would I be looking at single turbo or twins for 350kw?

How much power are stock AFM good for?

At the minimum:

- Z32 AFM's

- Nismo 600cc injectors

- Power FC

- Garrett -5 turbos

- Decent turbo-back exhaust system

- Decent intake system (eg. a pair of pods. R33's and R34's don't so much need this)

- Bosch 044 installed in tank or with a surge tank setup

- Stock intercooler will be OK and give the best response but 350 is def at its limit

- Sump baffle and/or extended sump

- Sump breather and/or external oil return

- U might get away with not fitting a smaller oil restrictor which would save pulling the head off

- U will get away with 350 on stock cams JUST if run high enough boost but a set of poncam type b 260 degrees would be a much better way of making that power. If u did get the cams, u may as well just upgrade the intercooler too and aim for 380-400.

RB's have an oil control problem unlike SR's so they don't work as reliably wen u just chuck bolt-ons on unless u sort out the sump etc. first.

cheapest way? dont buy the parts and do it yourself

find some other sucker selling his GTR (pick the model) which has that power level and enjoy it

its reasonable for GTR owners to spend oodles on getting mega killowatts only to sell it a short time later

they usually spend a truck load on parts, get it all sweet, then sell. you can pick up the power at a much cheaper price

the $ per killowatt plummets when they sell the car setup as is vs you buying the parts and doing everything yourself

My goal is to get 350kw atw from my r32 gtr. What is the cheapest way to achieve this safely?

Any reason why 350awkw, can you drop that number down to say 320; also are u tracking the car or just a fast street car? do a compression test to see how tight the bottom end is then do what brad wrote below.

try to make the power lower in the rev range and set the rev limiter to below 8000rpm to keep it alive for longer then a day or so lolz

I do have a mate with 300awkw in an r32 gtr for 2 years now but he never revs past 7500 n dosent track it.

People have run as high as 360rwkw with a stock R32 GTR airbox so I would suggest it isn't entirely necessary.

I'd be worried about that level of power killing the 20yo bottom end. In reality what it is, that most of the cars have huge kms on them also, despite what the clock says.

+1 on that. Makes me laugh when people tell me there import has only done 50,00k's

You say that the post above I mean 'changing' the R32 GTR airbox! Pretty obvious that word was missing.

I found the ad for my car in Japan and it had 45,000 wiped off it in Australia.

You only need to look at the more honest Canadians and the kms on their R32 GTRs.

Cheapest way is to buy 1 off someone that's already done the work. To do everything from scratch's not gonna be cheap. IMO highly mod cars are harder to sell unless they've already got a buyer before the owner wants to sell it or through recommendation.

Just pulled a R32 GTR off the dyno from another workshop, it came to me with the following parts fitted, second hand garret T04Z kit and cams etc, new powerfc D-jetro and fuel pump. Made a lazy (by lazy i mean minimal timing and with tweaking probably another 15kw hiding in it at 17psi) 350kw and 500nm at 17psi, no doubt mid 400's is capable but engine is 100% std. It really needs about 20 psi to really wake it up but it is something im not willing to do without the customer standing next to it during tuning.

Just for reffrence, I ran around and raced regularly (10 sec car) with 398rwkw for a year and a half on a 15yo stock bottomend 26.

Then I did somthing silly and blew it up... wooops!

I allways expected it to blow though.

yeah like i posted without the customer present i would not push it past 350 (im contracted to do it for another workshop) if he was here we would go higher.
