Anyway back on topic, I asked at the Mines shop in Japan - its very reasonably priced to get them to do a set, they wont release the code though (which is no suprise)

You are right, if you get the primer gun to "spit" and have it start drying before it hits the part you can get a textured finish, then paint over it in your required colour.

Custom mixed powders are expensive to get formulated - its not like paint where you can simply mix 5 parts black 2 parts purple etc etc

formulation of powder colours requires it to start from the beginning with fresh resins, colours and bonding processes.
