Kingsprings lowers (not superlows) came with the car (R34GTT) when I bought it 2 months ago and so far I've replaced a passengers side front last week and yesterday drivers side rear shocky, the front was fraked and the rear just leaking slightly but still working .

I have been advised by people who know that stock OE shockys should work fine with these springs as the lowering is only 20-25mm front and rear giving a ride hight of 360 front and 355 rear.

The car has 79500klm on it so lowering would not have made old shockys happy in any event.

I've replaced the shocks individualy as if they're going to keep blowing because the OE just aren't suitable I'll have to go for a different solution.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is running this Kings/OE set up and what thier results are ?

mate never replace one shock at a time for starters very dangerous to thing too do that aside i run kings lowered springs not the superlows with a set of kyb shocks all round they have done about 20.000ks now and not a problem . thats on a r33 and it rides great the kyb's are a standed replacment shock to suit normal springs ive not had a prob

Thanks for the reply mate , I'm puzzled about why only the only replace shockys in pairs, if that were the case shouldn't all be replaced when one goes ?

The replacements are factory and should be an exact match for whats in.

I was running around with one absolutely rooted (F) shocky for probably about 4 weeks and one partialy rooted ® for probably much longer and the only handling issue was a slightly harsh ride.

There were no hard braking aberations or steering/tracking/ handling issues evident , I will say though that I don't push the car around much. ah-hem :D

I only checked because of a slight noise at the passengers front side over very small very slow speed bumps.

I actualy talked with Jason at KYB and there are no fronts available in Aust for an R34GTT though they do make one,- part No NSF9092 gas adjust monotube, it will be available in NZ from georgestock.co.nz from the 29/10/09 (rears are FS9095 fork mount gas adjust monotube).

I'm quite happy with the OE damping just wondering if the OE is going to be happy with the Kings ?

when i bought the r33 i had stock shocks and kings, 1 shock was nearly stuffed when i bought it, about 1,000kms later all were needing replacement, replaced with KYB's and haven't had a problem, driven about 10,000kms so far.

:) Thanks for the replys I guess I'll wait and see if either of the newy's blows if it does I'll get a full set of KYB's from NZ or go for coilys if a 2nd hand set turn up at the right price.
