OK you asked for it... Here is a Video Movie Trailer for the day.

I haven't had a lot of time to put too much finish on it, but so far it looks pretty good.

(oh, and be sure to watch all the way to the end.. there is a nice surprise for those that wait for the credits)

hehe

Great stuff! Cant wait to see the next vid!

PS- Love the big lock up!

Yeah, when I put the music track in the big lock-up just happened to be close to the "dramatic" part of the music so I had to make sure that it hit that video just at the right part of the song. I thought it was the perfect clip for that hehe

When I get home tonight I'll post the video of Cass' off track exploration. I've overlaid the in-car so you can see how busy in there - look at that steering wheel go!

Aww, I tried to upload the AVI but the boards won't let me. I'll cut a better version and put it up on failtube.

EDIT: Ok - it's up:

Epic lol cass man!! I ROFL at that little "hhmmmm" you make.... its like... "That wasnt supposed to happen.. oh wells" :/:)

I was actually standing on pit wall as you flew past for your first lap of the day, i said to someone next to me (cant remember who) "$5 he (Cassbo) has an epic fail ASAP, he drives that thing like its stolen"................... sure enough, never to disappoint, second lap, turn 1, enter Cassbo and a scandinavian flick. Add a whole lot of WTF factor, dash of opposite lock and you get a failboat sliding all the way thru turn 1 in perfect oppo lock.... Absolute GOLD!! If only u meant to do it.... it looked EPIC! Got a massive horaah from the crowd!

I do hope someone got that on vid!!!

ha ha, the dino-line scared him lol. that happened so quick cas...

hahah that was good work matt....you have enough enthusiasm...maybe some practice staying on the track instead??

anyway....if you ever wondered what it looks like to do some quick lap's from a helmet's viewpoint....here are 3 laps from different helmets...

i heard that uncle druncans car had oil pressure all day

some kind of record

its true pete...i survived a whole day with more than enough oil pressure...thanks John and Nitto!

here's the quick laps from the afternoon session at 18psi and then 12psi, about 11 laps in 10 min

Oh man... That makes me giggle as if I were in the car all over again!

And I love how you can see more out the back window in the reflection of my helmet then you can out the front!

Yeah... my first slide of the day happened when I locked up twice trying to wipe off some speed before admitting that I was still going to fast for the conditions and decided to turn in under heavy brakes. Rear end came out, I think I came off the brakes a little and let my castor do it's job. I was expecting my car to flick back the other way... maybe the swaybar on the rear was doing something after all :)

I don't think anyone got video of my first slide, but I'd love to see it if anyone did :)

Dino-line is pretty much the opposite of my car. It's loud, extremely modified and fast. My car is quiet, mostly standard and a boat :)

With ride hight like mine, staying on the track is considered "optional" ;)

Can't wait to get back into it next time with a swaybar on the front and some R-compounds :D

well I can't believe dundans car survived a track day. well done mate. lets hope the trend continues. you've surely earned it!!

I just watched the YOu TUbe vid Duncan, and looks like you were wrestling it around well and lots of laps, temps all good also?

I think when I went for a run in it, with Duncan pushing it, we were seeing water temps of around 120 degrees... Or maybe that was oil temps... But temp came up... But seemingly the loud pedal just went down further... LOL

(hey matt don't give it away, I don't want John to have a way to get out of future warranty claims :()

yeah water temp got to 110 again...just goes to show I need to run the distilled water and redline water wetter any time I want to push it hard. no big deal. No problems with oil temp because the gauge doesn't work :bunny:

Neil...I like the bit in your vid where I chop you :D, about 7.40 if I remember correctly :ermm:

But you really need some decent tyres those ones are shithouse. I couldn't beleive how quickly it was going from understeer to oversteer to understeer again. Lets see if the result is different at phillip island when I'm on old tyres and you're on new tyres

ahhh, must suck to have to run an intercooler........but dont worry, i run out of fuel before you get hot lol.

yeah thats why we're running a flux capacitor in the new car. bloody car has always run hot even with all the changes over the years (overdriven water pump, big radiator etc) but runs about 10o cooler with water than coolant
