I want to do a car for good looks, nice rockin sound and cruising !!

my cars have always been for cruising, not hooning!!!

not sure of what years to go for and i know nothing about cars, just love driving them, would want something

thats easy to look after if you know what i mean, and to hopefully learn from others..

Welcome to SAU Jason. :) Become a member & join some cruises & talk to the guys :P

What budget have you got? Are you on Ps? What cars excite you so far?

Advanced Drivers' Courses are good to consider.

Take a mechanic with you to inspect any 'good potential buys' and ask him/her to talk to you about what's being looked at.

From Nowra, it'd great to take a test drive to Kangaroo Valley by going up > down Cambewarra Mtn... or Kangaroo Valley Rd from Berry.

Im almost 40, but just love cars in general..

I like the R33's, but dont know much about them? particularity age worries,

and want an auto

probably around the $12000ish price , and my other concern is big milage, and how well

the car has been looked after, I like to cruise, not hoon or stir up trouble, I like to put on my 70' & 80's music and just drive

i think that u would be more suited to a bmw or something dude.

i sold my my 05 320ci last year and it did all of the thing that u want (except the old music lol)

and they r an awesome cruiser.

or a lexus ls400 nice lazy v8 and u feel like ur driving a leather sofa with wheels lol

there is no point having sports cars if u dont drive it like one

just my 2c

$12K?

Auto?

Cruise?

Yes I'd agree with JULZ ^^^

What about an E36 328i BM with full history and low Kms? Just have the DME fault codes brought up and make sure there are no leaks/seepage. Stay away from the 320i of that era. I'm 60 and had a E46 328Ci before the R34 = a great cruiser. Good cornering, comfortable & uses less fuel than the Mercs.

    • E10 is pretty tightly regulated in percentage. Too much and engines can't adapt. Every incentive is against them to have too little ethanol though. The more ethanol the higher the octane.
    • Yeah i have R34 with factory small box and now RB25DET NEO swapoed and iam planning to upgrade to big box.  So i would be good as long as i do not change diff?
    • Based off what you’ve said here, I think I’ve figured out a good bit of what I’ve done wrong -  So on the line going from the PCV valve to carbon canister, there’s a T joint that is pretty much right next to that lower port - I hadn’t noticed that the hose in the diagram was curved to attach onto the carb, so I was putting that line for the lower port onto the PCV line / carbon canister line instead. I’m going to have a flick through the manual again tomorrow and should hopefully find a diagram that’ll show me where that T joint should be connected to. Timing also 100% needs to be sorted out as well, should be able to tackle that tomorrow as well. Definitely feel like I should be on the right track now though.
    • The screw is for idle (pilot circuit) mixture adjustment. Else, I'm confused ~ the diagram shows 2 carby ports, and the intake manifold port, but you're suggesting the "2nd port on the back of the carb that isn’t mentioned in the diagrams" ...yet, both carby ports are shown...que?... ...in any event, that port should be connected, but if not (like it is now), it's unlikely to cause a backfire out the carby (it would introduce false air and give you a fast/lean idle) ...sounds more like timing issues/spark plug wire routing responsible for the backfiring.
