hi, i am currently getting my engine rebuilt and putting it back into my r32 gtr and need to know if i can put on a set of -7 turbos without changing anything else like ecu, injectors, fpr? the simple reason is i dont have the money to do any further mods at the minute and would like to get rid of the old turbos - the only other mods done to date are ported cast manifolds, cat back exhaust and pod filters

Nistune is the best ECU for what you need. Checkout their website.

yeah i've looked at it but was wondering will the car drive ok with the stock ecu if i leave the boost at factory level for now (the restrictor is still in place so 8/9 psi limit) so i can drive it around for a while before changing anything else

if you havent bought the -7 tubos yet, id swap em for the -9's; new design, more efficient and same response with a better top end.

A mate of mine has a racepace built motor with -5's running the stock ecu until he has enough money for an ECU and it was run on the dyno with safe AFR n Knocks etc.

But best tune asap to get your full potential, power fc is great as its plug n play

I agree, the -9 seems to be a more efficient turbo.

The stock ecu is quite capable of running with those turbos, the question is how much boost u want to run, because it will start to get a little lean in the low to midrange with increased boost levels.... a problem which can be helped a bit if u have an adj. fuel pressure reg. to bump up rail pressure a few psi.
