Hey guys ive got a 2d NA r34 and am not to great when it comes to wheels and fitment.

Just wondering, i want to fit 18x9 +33 on the rear and 18x8 +33 on the front. Will i have issues with break clearance and will i need to roll the guards ??

Depends what tyre size you run and how low it is.

Personally I think they'll fit easy.

My mate just fitted some CR Kai's on his 25GT.

Front: 18x8.5 +30

Rear: 18x9.5 +20

We're going to have to roll the rear guards when he lowers the car.

The specs of my NA in front are:

Front: 17x8 +/- 0 offset.

Rear: 17x9 +13.

I'm running fairly stretched tyres and camber to fit these in. Guards are rolled too.

you'l be sweet with that size, i put 18x9.5 +40 with 235x40 tires on my r34 and only experinced a small bit of scrubbing on the inside front well gaurds when turning at full lock, but it doesnt take long for the tires to cut a groove thru the plastic and now the scrubing is gone

whats all this talk about rolling for? ive lowered mine quite a bit (cant fit fingers btw tire and wheel well at the rear and in the front i can just fit my fingers in) and i have no trouble

I thought you "cut a groove thru the plastic" though? You were also running a 40 offset though, dunno what difference a litle bit will make.

is dish the same as offset? lol, maybe a stupid question, maybe i got 40mm of dish, because my rims put most of their width toward the outside of the rim...

but i was just wondering why 'roll' a wheel well, because yes mine cut a groove thru the plastic on the inner-most part of the wheel well(front only and at full lock) , but doesnt 'rolling' refer to the metal lip of the wheel well being made deeper?

AYW550, dish and offset are completely different. (Although the amount of dish is determined by a combination of the design, offset and width) Generally the greater the width and the lower the offset the more dish you have.

The offset is determined by where the hub sits in relation to the middle of the wheel, if its right in the middle offset = 0, if it is 30mm towards the outer edge of the wheel then the offset is +30. Thats why a wide wheel with a low offset sits out far and can create more dish. (sorry if I'm confusing lol! I can explain it well in person with a wheel as an aid).

ok cool, nope not confusing, now i know that it is 40mm of dish that i have, due to the width and location of the offset. so infact i probably dont have much offset at all

im running 17x9 +20 on the front with 225/45. sits flush

and 17x9.5+18 on the rear with 235/45 (will be 225/45 soon) and wind out some camber on the rear.
