Chrome Door Protector Removal

hi all,

just wondering how to remove the chrome door protector that runs all way along the side of the door (on coupes). I've noticed this on 2 silver coupe and think its probably an accessory that they install in japan. How can this be removed without damage to the paint?

I just peeled it off and got onto it with some bug and tar remover to remove the glue residue. It was a bit of an effort but well worthwhile... those things are uuuugly.

Inspected closely and gave it a polish afterwards and the paint looks perfect.

i dont mind it on my coupe, there not ugly to me , silver coupe though so it blends in i guess

that's exactly what I meant.

so its just stuck to the door with like a double sided adhesive tape?? yea they are rather unsightly but i guess it does help if you arnt the type to look carefully before opening the door.

hrmmmm i have that on my v35 as well.... same colour too! never bothered me at all except it has a few scratches on it.... just curious what does it look like without it?

Anyone got a set of these for an R32 2door?
