just bought a 34 sedan, the shifting doesnt seem to work on the steering wheel, the owner had no idea that it was even a shifter (thought it was volume haha)

anyway any ideas why it aint workin? do i have to switch it on somewhere?

any help is appreciated

just for those out there that do not know - to enable the steering wheel controls - You have to make sure the shifter itself is in tiptronic mode as well as the steering wheel shift mode is set to on.

how do u turn the steering wheel shifter on then? Im haveing the same problem but I put it in tiptronic and it still won't shift with the steering controls.

there is also a button as mentioned above you have to press to engage the steering wheel controls. its on the plstic trim right near the gear lever :sick:

I had the same problem in my old r34 so for anyone else that may have this issue.

To access the stereo you need to take off the trim around the shifter and unplug the switch and cigarette lighter.

I forgot to plug it back in when i put the trim back on and i couldn't figure it out.

Might be the same for new owners if the previous owner didn't plug it back in. or might have just fell out.

Ugh wish i didn't sell her.

Cant wait to get a GTR one day :D

Could someone please explain this with photos step by step? Mine are disabled and the previous owner had no idea why they didnt work. I still dont quite get it after reading all that ! could someone please help? D:

Is that the one what you press and goes orange light and is a picture of a steering wheel?
