Having A Real Hard Time Getting Alternator On

Bought an alt off Monga (thanks ) but am having a hard time getting the alternator on with that long metal washer thingy (where the pivot bolt goes). Everytime I try put it on, this thing inside one of the brackets is getting in the way

Any tips? My arm is bleeding from the radiator fan

Should be like a sliding washer. try gentally tapping that washer in to give you little more space. Also put a rag over the fan to save your arm.
