Ok this may be a dumb question, but I have an immobiliser/alarm in my R33 which is somehow hooked up to the head unit so you can key in a code (via a special sequence) to disable the immobiliser - if you need to - for whatever reason like if maybe you lose your little xmitter or battery runs out.

So my question is...if I want to install a new head unit - which I am thinking of doing - then what should I do about the immobiliser? Do I have to do anything? I don't want to find out my car won't start after I rip out the head unit say. :D
