R33 Gtst Caliper Adapters

ive got a set of uas caliper adapters and 324mm rotors.

took the caliper off the hub.

took the 296mm rotor off the hub

fitted the adapter to the hub

fitted the rotor to the hub

fit the caliper onto the adapter

the top hole lined up, bolt went in fine

but...the bottom hole does not line up

am i doing something obviously wrong?

has anyone else got some pics of theirs installed?

looks ok to me. my advice is ring or email UAS and send those pics. they will be able to help/advise/replace depending on what they think it happening.

yeh have done. i was going crazy and thought there must be a simple explanation.

so im not going crazy, kool. ill keep talking to john and see if we can find out wtf is going on.

When i bought those John told me they dont just bolt up and i'd need to do some customization to get them on. I ended up spending a lot of time with the angle grinder to make them fit, and for that reason didnt particularly like the kit. Especially after i later fell the victim to the DBA4000 braindead slot design cracking issue. G4s FTMFW.

hrm, that sounds like a pain in the ass.

im going to have to take 7mm off the rotor, which im not that happy doing.

Yep, that's normal. Just touch up the caliper leg to clear the socket head with a file or angle grinder, no big deal.

yeh ok thanks. the guys at uas seemed to think that as well. but not 7mm, maybe 3mm.

ill take it to the angle grinder later thisarvo then.
