Well done. Had you taken to a garage you would probably be the proud owner of a recond starter motor and a $300+ bill!!

well it seems that what i did last weekend was only temporary.

the car died again on friday....

so i though stuff it ill get a new VL starter motor and just replace it.....

VL/rb30 STARTER MOTOR DOES NO FIT>!!!!!!

the drive is smaller and it DOESNT FIT....

what the hellllll

Plus theres no decent auto elecs in berwick that can look at it before TUE

i want to die... sorry... had to vent

I presume you have it out of the car so have a look at the brushes and see if a new set of brushes and cleaning up the commutator with emery tape or sand paper and then cleaning out the gaps between the segments will get it going (you should be able to test it without reinstalling it).

yep its out...

im having my cousin take a look tomorrow as he just got back from holidays early.....

hopefully we can sort it out without enlisting a shop or elec who will want a kidney for payment.
