Viper Alarm Not Working? Or Remote?

hi guys

i have a viper alarm 791XV installed in my skyline and recenty my car battery went flat. after replacing the battary the alarm was not working or the remote, keep getting a out of range beep from the remote. also the alarm not to respond to anything or any new remote.

After days and days of searching on the internet and reading the installtion guide and users manual cover to cover nothing was working. finally found out how to fix it.

anytime the car battery goes flat or dies the alarm goes into "safe mode" which blocks out every remote and stops auto learning.

this is how you fix it open drivers door, press the button valet/programming switch 12 times, then press and hold it in. then the alarm will beep and the LED will flash 12times. then release the valet botton will beep once more for exit.

then you press the push button valet/programming switch one time for channel one and then press and hold it in once more unit the alarm beeps and keep holding it. then press the arm/lock bottn on your remote and then release valet/programming switch. then your remote will work.

NOTE: this will only work if your alarm is in UNLOCKED mode for in auto learning - read installtion guide to find out how to unlock it
