finally after all the nagging little questions on this forum... I am now a proud owner of a V35 coupe.

will post pics up once I have the car cleaned.

First upgrades that I want to do is to get rid of all the amber....so I'll prolly end up with smoked indicators off ebay (unless someone wants to comment on the quality of these stuff and could recommend a better seller).

also, I want to get rid of the amber lens on the headlight...any DIY's on how to do this??

thanks all.

Congrats :(

i think you get buy the film for smoking the lights :P

06 headlights will do.

or the cheap option put your headlights in the oven and melt the glue around the lens so you can pull it off. Then cut out the amber lens. Then put in an amber SMD or LED. Messy job. There is a youtube demo of this.

Chris told me over $1000 for 06 headlights

Came across one on ebay US for around AU$700 Delivered. Aren't all g35 parts compatible with our v35s?

I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post a link so just do a search on g35 headlight and you'll find it.

some cars have the lights dipped on the driver's side...so if the G35 in the US has this, then it'll be illegal here coz it'll have a higher beam on the right

Sorry guys you lost me.... Are you saying that because they drive on the left side the placement of the headlights will be different than here?

And what exactly do you mean by the lights being "dipped"?

Got it :whistling:

I also had a read through the description of the listing and found this :

To Canadian and International Customers, these lights although are a direct bolt on replacement for your car, IF you currently have daytime running lights, some simple re-wiring of these lights will be needed in order for them to work properly on your foreign market G35 Coupe or 350GT Coupe. ALSO, if you are in a country where you drive on the left of the road, these lights will have a slightly different beam pattern, and may be bright for oncoming traffic. This is because they are designed for the US spec Cars and roads.

Nice one - is this the one from Perth that sat on Carsales forever? How much did you get him down to in the end? I looked at this one, but found a cheaper black one from a dealer in Sydney (so has warranty for what that is worth). I do absolutely love the Rays though!

yea this is the one that was on carsales. LOL it was on for like 3 weeks but that was coz I had a small deposit paid but had to sell my car first.

I did get it for lower than his asking price but also got much less for my beamer, so i guess the only real winner is the govt with the damn stamp duties.

then again cars do sell a lot quicker over east coz theres a bigger buyers market there. Dealer warranties are a joke, unless its a new car warranty, the rest are not worth the paper its written on. My bosses 911 shat the gearbox...he had all routine servicing and was only late on 1 by 2 weeks and they rejected the claim. Even when the gearbox is a non-servicable item!!!
