This is my car, the question marks are things i'm not certain about because my mechanic has organised it not me.

Car: 1993 R33 GTS-t

Under the hood:

Engine: RB30det (RB30/25)

Internals: RB30 polished and balanced crank, Eagle Rods, HKS? pistons, Tomei Cams with adjustable cam gears, RB25 port and polished head, ? valve springs, Trust GReddy Plenum, ? Metal Gasket, Custom extractors and exhaust manifold. See through timing belt cover, N1 oil pump, and nismo water pump.

Induction: GT35/40 roller bearing turbine, with custom blade angles to spool up at 3000rpm, nürburg spec intercooler, Internal wastegate ?mm, custom airbox and pod filter to look as stock.

Fuel System: 1000cc injectors, GReddy fuel Rail, surge tank, Bosch fuel pump, braided lines, splitfire coil packs.

Management: Apexi power FC with hand controller.

Exhaust: 3.5 inch straight through and 9.5? inch cannon.

Gearbox: Rebuilt RB25 gearbox with strengthened 1st and 2nd gears.

Clutch: Exeedy twin plate with push button.

Diff: R200 2 way diff?

Brakes: R33 GTR calliper kit with drilled and slotted rotors.

Suspension:?

Wheels: 19x8.5 inch decorsa all round, running michilin sports pilot.

Performance estimate: 410rwkw, 900Nm, power to weight of 0.304kw/kg.

Now i've aimed for 400+rwkw, with the above modifications, should this be attainable, and if not, what should i look at doing.

The head has stage 1 cams and will be able to rev to 8,500rpm with the oil pump, water pump and nitrated crank.

the gt35/40 i heard is perfect for the engine, and the early spool should make it pretty awesome, i've read about a r31 called hypogt getting 480rwkw bt he had a 45mm external wastegate and smaller injectors, will the limitation of the internal wastegate, be an Achilles heal? I'm trying to make this look stock, so as far as a cop is concerned my mods will be exhaust and intake plenum.

the turbo will be low mount and in a bag and the pod filter in a box that looks like standard so this should pass the canary cops.

I am unsure what to think as i am a first year mechanic apprentice and many class members have said i'll be lucky to get 350rwkw, have they underestimated the RB30det or have i over estimated?

Just wondering, if at all, you thought to take a read of the 400rwkw/GT35 thread already created in this section, that was the top post...

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...5r-t287217.html

It answers pretty much all your questions which are well, the same. Please have a read of it. Especially the part about the exhaust size.

IMO you wont make 400rwkw internal gate.

Two other points.

1. 480rwkw through a GT35 - Not a chance. Even on C16 I'm dubious. It would have to be modified.

2. Being you are from Vic - i give you my word, if you are pulled over, you will not pass.

I was defected for a low mounted GT30, this was 5 years ago. Knowledge has spread far wider. This was factory everything else mostly.

You on the other hand have every other cop/EPA magnet parts - fuel rails, braided lines, and exhaust that is going to be so loud you'll be heard a block away.

If you think exhaust/plenum are the only "catch points" You are going to be in for a rude awakening.

Police are not as "dumb' as they were 6-7 years ago, I've noticed first hand a steady increase in awareness of all things modification.

If you get EPA'd, actually, don't even think about it... it's unspeakable badness for you.

If you want a legal 400rwkw - there are much better ways to do it and be MUCH more stealth, almost to the point of appearing 100% factory :)

question isn't the legality issue, i have a few tricks for making it appear stock for that, the problem is, with my build am i dreaming to think i can get 410rwkw with a low mount internal wastegate setup like the 1 i listed, i read that post and got the rest of the info, i just want to know if it's possible, could i get more, or will i ultimately get less like my fellow apprentices believe.

Well it around 650-700hp, so 350rwkw, perhaps a bit more.

Its really dependent on when the back pressure becomes a problem, you could look into having the rear ported a bit, dunno how much gain you'll see there though.

IMO put a 26/30 in there, -5's, look 100% factory/400rwkw/easily engineered.

so how much is attainable with an internal wastegate?

Hey Hakon, where u from? Judging by your name it sounds like you're Norwegian, in that case you've got a neighbour here from Swede, building a RB30/26 :D

Good luck with the project!

Cheers!
