Ok I know this is a bit lame, but my two nomination to get the ball rolling:

Tunnel - No cameras, and you get to hear the sound of your 'zaust (how cool is that? :( ), plus well...it's a tunnel!

That 270 deg ramp from the Causeway onto Great Eastern/Canning westbound - test yer grip! :)

The new marmion road section to yanchep is a pretty nice road, the views arnt bad and the road is less bumpy than most others in WA. unrelated but have also seen what may have been a journalist in a new model red ferrari doing at least 250kmph on this road from the speed he overtook me and the speed that I was travelling at already

There are camera's in the tunnel. Speed Camera's and for traffic control purposes, and the cops are cracking down on it anyway.

Are you sure there are SPEED cameras in the tunnel?

I normally do 'around' :) 80 km/hr through there and I am telling you...EVERYONE is going past me. That's alot of tickets.

There are speed cameras in the tunnel but operated by MRWA so it's more for traffic flow purposes to monitor how the traffic's going.

The cameras have yet to be setup for police purposes and are only used in real time i.e. not recorded although there is the capability but MRWA prefers not to do it (as with other real time cameras located around freeways). It could in theory be used as speed cameras if they wanted to.

My sources suggest that police have installed point to point cameras outside the tunnels to measure the average speed of motorists and therefore fine drivers who average over 80km/h for the tunnel section. I believe it is in the testing phase although I'm not sure when it will become fully operational.

Exactly how accidents occur in the tunnel (save for issues with the vehicle) is beyond me.

Haha didn't that guy get his license suspended and is being tagged as "oldest hoon" ?

Nah that was some 81 y/o bloke doing 101 km/hr through the tunnel in the 'crackdown' a few months ago.

There's a section of road in the hills between Karragullen & Kalamunda, can't remember the name but it's winding and fun. In spring/summer you could mistake it for a European road it's just so very picturesque. Must be the vinyards.
