Transfering Ipod Tunes

just brought an ipod touch, is there anyway i can transfer my tunes off my nano?? i didnt save any of my tunes in the itunes libery to try and save space on my laptop,

any help would be awesome,

I think you gotta make another playlist on itunes n transfer it like that.. not too sure if they have a transfer cable between the two

Well there is a painstaking way to do it, if u have the time and the patience.

Plug in your nano, go to my computer and click on the ipod drive. Make sure that all hidden files are visible.

In the drive there will be a folder called Ipod control, in there are all your songs, but they are written in 4 letter codes. You can straight copy those files and save them anywhere on your computer. Those files can be played on itunes, or WMP, whatever.

Now u gotta listen through the songs and re-name them all. Takes forever lol.

Then put the songs u want into your itunes and plug your ipod touch.

Thats the only way i found I could go between ipods.

Google "Music Rescue". You can use it to recover songs off your Ipod if your comp packs it in.

It's also good for getting music off other peoples Ipods.

It sorts through the songs and tries not to duplicate too.

Also "copypod" will do exactly that, will load up your songs just like in itunes then you just copy them to hdd.

Idump

This is the easiest way I've found. Simple as installing, selecting the folder you want to dump the songs into. Click dump and away it goes, naming each one as if it was on itunes.
