Best Street/Circuit Turbo's ?

well. as youve noticed it seems i want a full work out on my GTR R33.

what would be the BEST turbo's to buy for it ? im talking for street racing / circuit racing. nothing Laggy please. i was thinking some 2530's ? or 2540R's? what else would i need to make this car 100% stable running at say 1.6Bar ? .

off the top of my head i will need:

Apexi Power FC

Cam Gears

Fuel Pump ( SIZE ??? )

Plenum ??

fuel injectors (size?? )

what is a good boost controler that i should buy ?

and a G-tech. hehe .

just remind me if i missed something out. or better ideas

i already have 02 Rush Filters. and HKS Priest exhaust system from turbo's. but should i get metal pods for my air filters or just plastic ones ?

are the Garrett group A ball bearing turbo's any good ? there is a pair of them for sale for 3,000 $ . how do you think these compare to something HKS or Greddy etc. ?? . what do you think they will be capable of 1.6bar ?

you are on the right track the list should go like this

Apexi Power FC

Cam Gears

Fuel Pump ( Bosch motorsport 044 (by memory))

Twin plate clutch

fuel injectors (700cc)

Hks books controller, or you can get one attached to the Power FC, but i hear it is not as good (stand to be corrected)

2530's and full exhaust off the turbo's

Dont bother too much with the 2540 range if it is response you are after, while they are good, they are laggy.

hmm. about the 2530's . what do you think they could handle ? 1.8Bar ? and also since they are the best response turbo's waht do you think they would go with the complete set of modz on a qtr ?

also at the moment i plan to yse a single plate brass button clutch. how much could this handle till its dead ?

dont bother with a single. They suck. A waste of time and money. If you are going to do 2530's a twin plate is an absolute minimum.

1.8 bar would not be out of the question on HKS 2530's but it would be at the higher end of their efficiency.

a decent bar & plate cooler would be a good idea too if you are looking at running a bit of boost

MINES_DATSUN - If you only care about how much boost you can run then you arent going to get very far.
