Purchasing Interstate?

Hey Guys,

I am looking at possibly trading my car with a R33 GTR. I am in melbourne and the other guys is in Sydney.

Does anyone know what the deal is with purchasing interstate cars??

Does the rego transfer to other state until renewal or do we have to get new RWC and Reg in our own state??

best bet is to either look on the vic roads website or go into your local RTA and ask

Nah the rego doesn't transfer, what normally happens is that you hand over the old plates, and then go thru the process of putting new rego on the car in your state.

You can then apply for a refund for the remaining rego that was on the old plates
