Hey guys,

I just wanted some opinions on how much a stock R34 GT-R motor is worth as I have ordered a crate engine to replace her.

Here's some details.

- motor still in car and runs perfectly with no problems at all.

- about 74,000kms genuine

- complete long block engine but does not include turbos, manifolds, loom, fuel system, pulleys or plenum.

- recently dynoed at 200awkw with just a cat-back system

cheers

Euge

guys - no turbos etc etc.

$2000 at the absolute best.

heads are $1100-$1500, bottom ends are worth nothing

A complete running RB26 is not worth 6-7k that's for sure

Ouch! 2k? your serious; i know no turbos or plenum/fuel system but 2k?

well if mx is gonna sell it, id probably buy it for that price and build it up slowly to slot in my gtr when its done...serious on that if your interested.

A purchased a near complete head (no manifolds/turbos) for $1000, ~100,000km/s or so on it. Its in good nick. This is a common everyday price.

Bottom ends, literally are no more than $500 in value really.

So yes, no ancillaries, loom and so on, no more than $2000.

Just check the For Sale section, you'll soon see GTR heads sell for $1500 with plenum/manifolds attached, less without depending on what is missing.

Back 5 years ago i paid less than $4000 for a FULL motor, it had dead turbos... but everything from plenum to dumps to the loom.

It was a bit tired, so perhaps 4.5k full running motor with a loom for something in a little better condition.

You can get them imported now for 4k even, in decent condition.

If anyone can get more, good luck to them, the buyer didn't do their research.

For what it's worth, 2JZ's sell for under $3500 :D
