SO what ur saying is that the spacer was good for 7kw on its own

and then with a filter + the x tube it was good for another 8kw? was this done on the same dyno on the same day @ around the same time as 8rkw from just a ztube and filter sounds like a big gain for what they are

so in total you netted an aditional 15rwkw by having the spacer the ztube and the filter?

Did dyno

Then put on spacer, two days later did dyno.

Put on Z tube and filter, 3 days later did dyno

All within 3 weeks on the same dyno

No service inbetween.

In the end i got an exrta 15rwkw

I gave time between mods so the computer can adjust, Thats what i've been told needs to happen or you can reset the ECU for quicker results.

Agreed. I dont know what the facination is with the "z tube". May as well just grab a proper aftermarket item, or leave the stock one there...

Most of the aftermarket ones are just shinier versions of the stock one. They're the same diameter, and the same shape.

If you get a metal one it might be a bit noisier than the OEM plastic, but it'll also be a bit more succeptible to heat soak.

If you're going for looks then go aftermarket. But if you're after performance and you can pull 8rwkW with the Popcharger & Z-Tube, I wouldn't leave the stock V35 intake tube in. I'd just look for the cheapest replacement you can find.

8rwkW is still a good gain on an already reasonably tuned NA motor.
