I am buying a pair of new turbos and what to give the exhaust housings to a shop for ceramic coating.

Are these hard to remove and reassemble without chipping the blades. Or is it a bit delicate and should I have someone take them off?

If they are 2nd hand ceramic turbos I suggest you to not do it. All the once that came in for high flow breaks its turbine wheel while we trying to hammer the turbine housing off with a cooper mallet. Most of them a rusted together, specially the once with oil leaks. Have to heat up the housing before hit them apart.

Brand new once would come apart once they are unbolted.

Yes just the reverse.

Mark the housing and the core with a marker before pulling the housings off so you can line them up again when re-assembling. This avoids the pain of having to rotate the housings when fitting them to the car.
