I need help with the missing part here, I have everything elese plugged in clock, climate control e.t.c and have this wire & connector left over.

Can someone please help identify what part I'm miising.

On my Series 2 R33 that was the aerial switch to drop it too half way or full length i'd assume it was the same in a series 1

I'd say this part you're missing is a adjustment knob that adjust the backlight of the instrument cluster (that is what it is on my 33 S2).

To confuse matters more, you may not be missing anything. The connector might be for something in another model (different models using same loom section).

I got a s1 and there is noting there at all. just a platic plug to fill the hole

most likely its a switch of some sort...join the wires somehow and see if anything happens...

if not its probably for an acccessory you dont have like blind_elk said
