Hello!

Question for rb owners...

Anybody have td05 18g turbo?

Have some problems with boost, some times its 1.2 bar in peak and maf rest to peak value.

but in turbokit instruction it is told that actuator 0.8 bar, i think maybe its factory malfunction with actuator?

engine- rb25det stock

ecu - stock

To test the actuator simply blow air into it. If air do come out of it means the actuator diaframe is broken. Make sure the actuator do line up with the wastegate flap and the boost source that goes into it is not leaking. If above doesn’t work then you need to install a bigger wastegate flap and machine out the wastegate whole on the turbine housing.

ok. I test my actuator its OK.

and now how can I machine out the wastegate whole on the turbine housing? what do you mean?

my english is not so good, thats trouble!))

imho if you have to tap your own external wastegate onto the housing as a ghetto external setup something is seriously flawed in the setup. i would consider the "drill your own external wastegate" as a complete last resort. id rather sell the setup and buy something else vs doing that
