there was a guy running around with a road registered car painted up like this in SE QLD a couple of years ago claiming it was the Bathurst 12hr car. I never had a close look, but it seemd a bit ratty from a quick glance. Does he have the CAMS log book? without that there is no proof its the actual car. A weathered 1993 CAMS sticker and blanked off holes in the bootlid for a dry break system are all its got. If it was in the complete race trim, it might be worth that much to the right buyer, but it seems to be back in road trim apart from the paint and cage.

edit: and why would you send a production race engine back to Japan??? and wouldn't they have run the car in N1 spec? this has none of the N1 body pieces. I had a quick google but didn't turn up any pics/video from 93

Harry has sparked up my old man memory!

If it's correct it's not the actual race car but rather the promotional car. You know, the car that sits out the front of the retail shops in the sun to look cool.

I do remember as a young impressionable trainspotter seeing pictures of the race car in magazines and noting that this car (that was often parked right near my work) was slightly different in details.

Sorry for the hijack - just cross threading here :)

Want a Heli-coil? :)

i think sydneykid was talking about this car a while ago. as it was australian production, it wasn't allowed to run N1 spec. But if it dosn't have a log book it's nothing more than a painted up gtr, with a average cage.

It was advertised on here. Nice car, i woudl love it, but to me its not worth anything. Even if it was the Bathurst 12hr car...it got its ass handed to it, i recall it broke during the race...and the following year the Falken money went to Carlind who was running a Maserati Shamal. So nto to say its not an interesting car, or cool, but it doesnt seem to have history...so is just another ex race car which to means its worth less then a nice road going example that is actually quick.

But i sincerely wish the seller all the best selling it...but he may struggle asking that sort of money

Don't worry about that one. What about this?

Would be interested to finding out who / where this was made, considering its not a genuine PSI GT2R. The interior pics look very familiar to my mates GT2R's that he has. Engine spec lists are also sounding a bit familiar will have to try and dig up some old emails.

Oh and good luck getting it homologated anywhere outside of a state series. And one with 600Hp will struggle getting in there too.
