i was looking at a site that had a rb27

anyway it had a 26 crank and rods jammed into a 25 block and didnt say much about the pistons

i was wondering if any one has any info on what is needed for this type of build

i dont realy have piles of money falling out of my wallet being a apprentice fitter so im not that interested in the jun stroker kits etc

To make an Rb27 out of an Rb25 you use the RB26 crank, rods and pistons with an overbore of 1mm.

The rb25 and 26 rods are the same size (length and bearings) but the 26 ones are thicker and stronger.

The main thing you need to make sure is to use 26 pistons (shorter pin to deck height) due to the longer stroke of the 26 crank.

its nothing new realy, been done heaps of times before.

Cheers
