Im sure everyone has thought of this atleast a 1000 times before, but i havent seen much written about it..

Is it possible for an australian citizen, to goto one of the massive car auctions in japan.. bid on a car, then bring that car back etc ?

Do you need an auctioneers licence or anything like that?

Because ide love to not only visit japan and some car places (HKS/VEILSIDE.. showrooms etc) but also come back with a cheap R33 GTR that ive chosen in person.

you have to be licensed to bid on cars in Japan - you'd need to employ someone who can bid for you. You're better off speaking to someone like Craig Moore at J-Spec imports (www.j-spec.com.au) who can help you out :D
