Hi guys,

Have an M800 on my car and have just bought Sard 700cc injectors (Denso 195500-0830).. as the Bosch units I have in there are running out of capacity.

In order to set them up in Motec, you need to know certain characteristics about them. Motec have a list of 'known' injectors which you can select from but as luck would have it, these aren't on their list.

Has anyone had theirs tested and can you supply a Battery Compensation table and/or what other settings to use for them?

I can apparenlty send one off to Motec for testing.. but it takes a few weeks to get them back!

Cheers!

Lag time of 0.65ms accorsing to the RHD site:

Will obviously be low impedence also (i.e. no different to what you are replacing).

Weeelll Hello Gav! I should have just rung you!

Unfort though the units I am taking out are 0.5ohm (very low impedance) and the Sards measure 2.3ohms.. So while they are both considered "low impendance" they're a fair bit different.

Plus Motec have a swanky Battery compensation curve applied to Injectors they know about so that it alters the pulse width to suit if the voltage swings up or down.. ie 11.7 volts or 13.3volts can obviously have an effect on how fast the injector reacts and how much fuel it delivers.

I am thinking if I pick another injector in their known list with similar size and impedance then I might get away with it...

But just in case, someone here must be running this combo and done the research?

Catch you this Sunday anyhow!

Update:

For anyone else searching for this info in the future, I thought I'd post up what I found. I ended up sending an injector to Motec for 'chracterisation'. So basically they put it on a test rig at various voltages and fuel pressures and then come up with a compensation table to suit.

Note that the Sard 700cc is actually a Denso Injector rebadged.

They said to ignore the 6Bar readings here, as on the day they had an issue with the test rig.. but probably not too many people will be running 6bar fuel pressure..
