the PCV valve is on the rocker cover at the front on the plenum side. It has a rubber hose that goes from it to the plenum.

I removes blow by from the crank case, but when under boost it should shut and the crank case gasses go into the intake for the turbo, after the AFM.

I can see how it could possibly hurt the engine, as long as the gasses can escape elsewhere.

Hmm, I can't see any harm in blocking it then. I've got the breather line coming out and through my catch can so in theory that should be enough.

What's the purpose of this extra breather if the main one is always available for venting blow by?

The plenum breather sucks out blow by at vacuum, the turbo line is for boost. I 'suppose' its better to have it go through the plenum, as it is less likely to coat the cooler, but if you have a catch can? Sorry I dont know for sure.

I do remember old cars just had a vented/filter oil filler cap, but emissions laws require all crank case gasses to be burnt in the combustion chamber.

Unrelated id say.

Shitty idle most likely due to 0/2 Feedback still being on, makes idle pretty crap turn that off and idle will be great.

JimX - Try altering your cranking inj times. I increased most temps in mine by about 5-10 ms and it cleaned up starting.

Sorry for gravedigging, but I just wanted to say that I *finally* remembered to adjust the cranking injector times. I increased them by 5mx across the board (to make it easy to reset if needed) and it improved starting dramatically. Wish I'd done it sooner!

Ok I may as well keep digging. What are the Kanji characters for yes/no/off/on in the Commander menus? The reason I ask is I think the O2 feedback was off all this time. This would surely have made my fuel economy worse. It didn't seem to idle any worse in either setting, so I've changed it to what I think is "on" to see if it improves my fuel economy.

So is on/yes the character that looks like a plus sign or is it the one that looks like a curvy "7"?
